Bacterial colonies as found in chronic respiratory conditions protect themselves with a film around the colony. This protects the bacteria form our own immune systems as well as the antibiotics we may take. Plants in contrast are constantly changing their own immune system to react to the ever present danger from bacteria. By adding herbs to the herbal formula that can penetrate the bacteria's protective film it becomes much easier to deliver antibacterial herbs into the bacterial colony.
